KATE MATTHEWS

Kate is an emerging artist and educator with a practice spread across NSW and the ACT.

Her photographic works explore pluralities within public space, and the invisible barriers to accessibility and empowerment for communities in their own localities. Her practice frequently involves a collaborative model of engagement with public audiences and spaces. Kate’s teaching philosophy is to use her skills to make people’s ideas come to life, where no idea is too big or small to be realised.
